This is a vector drawing in my pre-Adobe Illustrator days.  I had cut my teeth on CorelDRAW beginning in 1992 and really wanted to work on a piece that showcased the fluidity and complexity of the Koi with a simple background.  I had seen photos of Koi swimming in pools at trade shows and loved the way their colors exploded against the blue of the pond.
