KINETIC MERCHANDISER DESIGN
PROJECT: BONSAI SUSHI & HIBACHI
Design a new menu and kinetic merchandiser to engage customers and promote the new, simplified menu items.
CONCERNS: The need to actively engage customers and make them aware while keeping existing customers satisfied with new options.
SOLUTION: Directed towards th 18-50 year old demographic, but appealing to all age groups the use of bright colors and aesthetic common to the Japanese culture would led itself well to the project.
Created from a single piece the display that is easy for staff to assemble, the contour of the body and fins semi wrap across all three sides. This will effectively lead the customers are to move around the entire menu and see the necessary information. The vibrant colors of the Koi in red, gold and white combined with the black text and images of menu items will be quite stunning and appetizing.
3D sculpting of the Koi will had a tactile element to start the conversation and the fin contour which will be cut out of the closure flap will lead the viewer to open the piece which will then pop-up with images of the three new offerings, which will be on a black slate background image with white text.
